Looking for new opportunities in LinkedIn

As we have many people in our community that are either actively or not so actively looking for new opportunities, then let’s talk about how to use LinkedIn for job search.

There are many ways how LinkedIn can help you when you are open to new opportunities:

💡 Navigate to “Jobs” from the top menu on LinkedIn and you well have access to many job ads. Simply write a keyword in the search bar, select location and you are able to continue with several more filters that help you find the job offers that match your interests.

When opening the “Jobs” menu, you can also easily turn on #opentowork and manage who is able to see that. You should find this in the middle of the page when scrolling down a bit.

But that's not all. On top of making yourself visible and actively screening potential job offers you are able to turn on notifications for yourself.

On the left you can find “Preferences” where you can adjust your job alerts, your application data and even get quick access to account verification. Under job alerts you can turn on alerts from job ads that match your criteria and also turn on to getting recommended jobs based on your profile and activity.

In order to have an overview of your applications, navigate to “My jobs” from the left hand menu. You can filter our applications by their status.

So don’t miss out on using LinkedIn as a tool for your job search. Have a look at what is posted there, set up your preferences and manage your applications.

Best of luck if you’re on a search for new opportunities! ✨
